Gitam, Ganitam & More! is a unique session that brings together the beauty of music (gitam) and the brilliance of mathematics and astronomy (ganitam). In this engaging exploration, participants will discover how ancient Indian thinkers observed the skies, created calendars, and solved mathematical puzzles that continue to amaze even today.
The session will weave together storytelling, demonstrations, and simple explanations to show how math and astronomy were deeply connected with daily life, festivals, and culture in India. From the concept of tithi and nakshatra to the genius of scholars like Aryabhata, the program will open a window to India’s rich intellectual traditions.
To add flavor, the session will also include a short musical rendition
