Anaadi Foundation is conducting Skanda Puja. The Puja will be performed by Deepanshu Dikshit, Acharya, Anaadi Veda Dharma Patashala.

To make this spiritual experience accessible to a global audience, the event will be held Live Online. This powerful evening, as detailed on the poster, will include Chanting, a traditional Puja, and devotional Bhajans, promising a spiritually charged experience.

Skanda Puja, also known as Murugan Puja or Subramanya Puja, is a dedicated worship of Lord Skanda, the valiant son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Often depicted as the commander-in-chief of the celestial forces, Skanda embodies courage, wisdom, and victory over evil. This puja involves chanting of mantras, abhishekam and devotional singing to invoke his divine presence.

The potential benefits of performing or participating in a Skanda Puja are profound. Devotees believe it helps in overcoming obstacles, vanquishing internal and external enemies (such as fear, ignorance, and negativity), and achieving overall well-being. It is also thought to bestow health, wealth, success in endeavors, and spiritual growth, fostering courage and clarity of mind.

The Puja is held on the previous day of Panguni Uttiram, a prominent festival in Tamil Nadu. Panguni Uttiram is celebrated during the month of Panguni when the constellation Uttiram coincides with the full moon. This day is believed to be highly auspicious as it marks the divine marriages of several celestial couples, including Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Lord Ram and Sita, and most notably in the context of Skanda Puja, the celestial marriage of Lord Murugan (Skanda) to Valli and Devasena.
